Chapter One

The Crossing

Before World War I, four Sit brothers — Sun Yuen, Hom Yuen, Ngar Yuen, and Lung Yuen — left the villages of southern China and sailed for America.

They entered America and settled in St. Louis… where they would build the foundation of new lives for so many.

Chapter Two

Roots in St. Louis

The brothers founded the Oriental Tea and Mercantile Company and opened restaurants like the Nanking and Peach Garden Restaurants. They built businesses, raised families, and planted roots that would grow into six branches spanning the entire country.
